Bookcase

I brought home a bookcase from Matt's grandma's house last fall. I started to refinish it right after Christmas and I am finally done. It took forever to strip it down because of the layers of varnish and all of the detailed trim. Matt commented that this has been my longest project. It is amazing how long things take when you can only work on them for about 10 minutes at a time.

This is what it looked like before.

The finished product. I am very happy with how it turned out. I was pleased to find a nice looking wood under the dark stain. I refinished it with a natural oil rub and polyurethane.
